New College Football TV Show
posted by Brian Shoemaker, Wednesday, July 18, 2007
College Football Live, a Monday-Friday 30-minute show, premieres on Monday, July 23 at 3:30 ET. It will run through the end of the bowl season in January.
USA Today's Michael McCarthy wrote a column about the show in February.
While we're on the topic of college football shows, I have one request for ESPN: Create a Sunday morning college football show.

One other ESPN note, this from USC's Media Relations Department:
ESPNU will feature a "South Carolina Cram Session" on Thursday, July 19. The Cram Session coincides with the launch of ESPNU on Time Warner Cable in Columbia (Channel 160). The lineup includes:
6:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.: USC vs. Florida Baseball
11 a.m. - 2 p.m.: USC vs. Houston Football (2006 Liberty Bowl)
2 p.m. - 4 p.m.: USC 2007 Spring Game
4 p.m. - 7 p.m.: USC vs. Clemson Football

I don't watch ESPN very much (at least this time of year), so maybe I've missed the promotions, but I've heard very little about ESPN's new college football show, College Football Live, which starts in less than a week.

Modeled after the network's daily NFL Live, the new show will be hosted mostly by Rece Davis and feature breaking news, features and analysis. Davis will be joined by a rotating mix of ESPN's college football talent, including Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit from College GameDay, Lou Holtz, Mark May, Bob Griese, Doug Flutie, Todd Blackledge, Craig James and Ed Cunningham. While ESPN has some less-than-spectacular shows/segments, College Football Live sounds like a winner.
