Richardson, a graduate of Spring Valley High School, was suspended last Friday from all team activities hours after he was arrested by Columbia police for simple possession of marijuana at the Hunter's Green Apartments in Northeast Columbia.
"We had some internal miscommunication with Quintin's situation," Hyman said in a statement released by the Sports Information Office. "His situation will be re-evaluated when the team reports in August."
Richardson issued a public apology recently through his attorney, Neal Lourie. He is scheduled to be arraigned in municipal court in August. Th exact date has not been set. Richardson is eligible for PTI since he is a first-time, non-violent offender.
