7:40 - Not a very good start for USC. Radford leads 10-5 at the first media timeout with 15:02 left in the 1H. Fredrick hit a 3P for USC, but Radford has a pair of 3P's. USC was forced to call a timeout just 1:45 into the game because of poor play.
7:45 - USC has picked it up here in the second segment with an 8-0 run to take a 13-0 lead. But Radford ties it with a 3. ZF responds with his second triple on the other end. USC leads 16-13 at the second media timeout with 11:45 left in the 1H. Boy, this place is dead tonight. I've been to louder funerals. ZF has 6 pts.
8:00 - USC leads 26-19 at the third media timeout with 7:07 left in the 1H. After trailing, 10-5, USC went on a 19-5 run to take a 24-15 lead. Radford scored 4 consecutive pts before Archoe ended the brief spurt with a jumper. Austin Steed entered the game a minute ago. Archie at the FT line. No good. Goof. USC leads 27-19.
8:08 - USC leads 32-24 at the fourth and final media t/o with 3:32 left in the 1H. Baniulis drained a 3P from the corner for his first points of the game. Mike Holmes has not played yet. I would say overall it's been a lackluster effort by both teams bot far. The teams' intensity matches that of the fans.
8:12 - 30-sec. t/o by USC. Gamecocks lead 39-31 with 1:30 left in 1H.
8:15 - Halftime at the CC. USC leads 42-34. After a slow start, the Gamecocks started to crank it up offensively in the latter part of the 1H. Fredrick has 14 pts to lead USC. He had 3 3-pointers in the 1H. We'll have stats shortly.

8:38 - Radford cut the lead to 44-40 early in the 2H but a 7-0 run has given USC a 51-40 lead. Downey just hit a 3-pointer. 16:46 left. Radford calls a full timeout. Fredrick has 16 points for USC. Archioe has 11 points. He has a layup and two FT in this half.
8:44 - Radford had made things interesting with consecutive 3-pointers and an putback basket. We've reached the first media timeout of the 2H. 14:52 left in the game. USC leads 54-48. Fredrick just connected on his 4th 3-pointer of the game for USC.
8:50 - Downey has pulled USC out of danger at least temporarily with 5 straight opts on a 3-ptr and jumper. It's 59-51 USC heading into the second media t/o of the 2H with 11:49 left. DD has 15 points.
8:55 - Fredrick has 20 points for USC. Muldrow just scored a basket. It's now 66-52 USC after a steal and layup by DD. USC is starting to pull away. Radford calls t/o with 9:37 left.
9:00 - We've reached the third media timeout with 7:48 left. USC leads, 70-59. Theyhaven't been able to put Radford away. They led by 14 points at one point (66-52) but the Highlanders have stuck around. ZF has 22 points for USC.
9:05 - Intentional foul on Radford. ZF hits the 1st FT to make it 75-62. USC retains possession. They can take the largest lead of the game right here. It looks like they've called a Tech Foul on Radford. DD makes 2 FT. It's 77-62 USC.
9:10 - A 7-point run by USC has pretty much salted this one away. It's 84-63 USC with 4:13 left. Radford was forced to call a t/o. There's the 4th media timeout with 3:55 left. USC leads 84-63. ZF has 26 points, while DD has 23 pts. The backcourt provides the bulk of the scoring again.
9:15 - Mitchell Carter is now in the game. There's a hoop by MC. That's his first points of the season. He's in the record book. It's 86-63 USC.
9:20 - It's over. USC WINS 90-63. Gamecocks closed out the game with an 18-1 run. Carter had 4 points. The game was fairly close for 30-32 minutes before USC put away Radford over the final 6-7 minutes.

7:15 - We're about 15 minutes from tip-off. Sparse crowd tonight. I would say there's about 2,000 people in the CC right now. I'll be surprised if the actula crowd exceeds 5,000 tonight. Of course, they'll announce around 10,000 because they count tickets sold. But it's bitter cold in Columbia tonight, so I assume a lot of people are just going to stay at home.
