3:45 - We go to the 9th with USC ahead, 10-1. Atwood will try to close it out for USC. Strikeout. 1 out. 1-3, 2 outs. We're heading down to the field.
3:40 - Hopper leads off the bottom of thr 8th with a double to center. He has 2 hits and a fabulous catch in left. Wingo flies to deep center. Hopper to third. SF to LF by Havens. That's his fifth RBI of the day. USC leads 10-1.
3:35 - Clemson is out in the top of the 8th. USC still leads 9-1. Atwood hit the first batter he faced but retired the next two. Hopper, Wingo and Havens due inthe bottom of the 8th. Cisco worked 7.1 innings and allowed one run on eights hits with four strikeouts.
3:30 - USC scored twice in the 7th on a single by Smoak and a fielder's choice grounder by Disher. We're now in the 8th with USC leading, 9-1. 1 out. Here comes Tanner. This will do it for Cisco. He strolls off the mound to thunderous applause. He's done very well against Clemson in his career. Atwood now pitching for USC. 1 out in the top of the 8th. Tanner going with the experience here.
3:10 - Clemson breaks Cisco's shutout bid by scoring a run with 2 outs on a walk and double in the top of the 7th to make it 7-1 USC. Havens led off the bottom of the 7th with a single. He has two hits today, including the GS.
3:00 - USC scores 2 runs in the 6th. It's 7-0 as we go to the 7th inning. Poor defense by Clemson opened the inning and a single by Lail preceded a SF to LF by Enders made it 6-0. An infield hit by Hopper made it 7-0. Cisco is still pitching for USC.
2:50 - Clemson got a runner to third with 2 outs in the top of the 6th, but Cisco fanned Chris Epps for the final out to preserve the shutout. There's an error by thre CU RF. He allows a fly by Smoak to fall in. CU has struggled defensively today.
2:42 - USC is out in the bottom of the 5th. Gamecocks lead 5-0 as we head to the sixth.
2:30 - We're in the top of the 5th. This game is sailing along. It took just 1 hour to play the first four innings. Single to open the CU 5th. But's there a 4-3 DP. Nice play by Wingo. 2 outs in the 5th. 6-3 for third out. We go to the bottom of the 5th with USC ahead, 5-0.
2:00 - The internet is having problems here. We're in the top of the 3rd with USC ahead, 5-0. Reese Havens hit a grand slam in the bottom of the 2nd. It was his 4th HR of the season. CU out in the 3rd. We go to the bottom of the 3rd with USC up, 5-0. Darnell just drove to the edge of the track.
1:40 - We're back after an interruption. Cisco looked good in the top of the first by retiring Clemson in order. Havens goes U-3 for the first out inthe bottom of the 1st. There's a rope into RCF by Merrifield. It falls for a hit. It rolls to the wall. Merrifield is going for third! He's safe! Big play for USC. RBI groundout by Darnell. USC leads 1-0.
1:20 - We're about 10 minutes from game time. Both teams have completed infield practice. Final preparations have been made to the field. USC is wearing all-white uniforms with garnet hats. Clemson is wearing orange jerseys with white pants. Startinglineups are being introduced right now.
12:50 - USC has taken the field for infield practice. It's Darnell, Havens, Wingo and Smoak left to right.
12:45 - We're about 45 minutes from the first pitch. Here is Clemson's starting lineup in case you're scoring at home:

11:50 - We're here at Sarge Frye Field in Columbia for Saturday's USC-Clemson baseball game. This is the first of a weekend home-and-home series. The teams will play Sunday in Clemson at 2 p.m. USC is taking batting practice right now. Clemson arrived about 20 minutes ago and are going through warmups. Clemson rallied to beat College of Charleston, 7-6, Friday night. The Tigers scored twice in the eighth to pull out the win. Mike Cisco will start for USC today, while LHP Ryan Hinson will pitch for Clemson. Weather-wise, it's a beautiful day here in the Capital City. Sunny skies with temperatures in the mid-60's. The parking lot outside SFF is already packed with tailgaters. Should be a great day.
