9:55 - Darnell ahead 3-1. Great hitter's count here. Liner to second. It's caught. But ther 2B turned the wrong way. Had he turned to first, Merrifield was way off the base. Could have been a DP. 9:50 - Base hit for Merrifield. Bases loaded! 1 out. Here comes the Furman coach. Entire infield is at the mound. Drama builds. Darnell up. You couldn't ask for a better sitution here if you're USC with Darnell and Smoak due.

8:35 - Godwin worked out of a big jam in the T6. Furman had runners at 1&3 with 1 out, but Godwin got a popup on a bunt and a strikeout. We go to the B6 still tied at 2-2.

8:30 - USC down 1-2-3 in the B5. We go to the 6th with the score 2-2. USC has 2 singles in the last 4 innings and 4 hits overall. Furman has 5 hits. Godwin still pitching for USC.

8:10 - Nothing for USC in the B4 after a leadoff single by Crisp. Extends his hitting streak to 13 games. But we go to the T5 with the score tied 2-2.

8:00 - Good job by Godwin to hold Furman to 2 runs in the T4. He struckout 2 straight batters and got a F-9 to end the inning. We go to the B4 with the score tied at 2-2.

7:15 - What a blast by Havens! Over the tall wall in CF. That ball was crushed. 6th HR of the year for Havens. He has 30 RBI. What a year for Havens. Merrifield just bunts for a base hit onthe next pitch. USC leads 1-0.

7:05 - Godwin gave up a 1-out infield single but promptly picked the runner off first. We go to the bottom of the 1st with the score 0-0. Havens, Merrifiedl, Darnell up.
